Dr. Baştürk received his BS degree in Electronics Engineering from Erciyes University in July 1998. Following his graduation, he joined the Department of Electronics Engineering as a research assistant. He subsequently completed his MS degree in August 2001 and his PhD in November 2006 at the same institution. In 2006, he also joined the Department of Computer Engineering at Erciyes University as a faculty member.
His academic career includes post-doctoral research at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI). Currently, he serves as a full Professor in the Computer Engineering Department at Erciyes University.
Throughout his career, Dr. Baştürk has been interested in the architecture of intelligence—specifically how algorithms can be designed to process complex data and optimize decisions.
Dr. Baştürk is dedicated to translating fundamental research into efficient, scalable computational systems.
